A San Diego native and first generation Filipina American, Angelia Trinidad is the CEO and founder of Passion Planner. After graduating from UCLA with a degree in Arts Education, she found herself struggling to find direction. Rising above the struggle, she created Passion Planner, a tool that has now helped over 600,000 people around the globe live with intention and create the life they want. Now a thriving multimillion dollar company, Passion Planner gives back through a growing Get One, Give One program, donating over 300,000 planners to empower underprivileged communities, NPOs, and other positively impactful organizations.
Dr. Allyson Tintiangco-Cubales
Founder, Pin@y Educational Partnerships (PEP)
Dr. Allyson Tintiangco-Cubales is a full professor in the College of Ethnic Studies at San Francisco State University. She is also a faculty member in the doctorate program for Educational Leadership. She has published several books and a wide array of articles that focus on the development of Ethnic Studies curriculum and community responsive pedagogy.
In addition to her responsibilities as a faculty member at SFSU, Tintiangco-Cubales has been extremely dedicated to the Filipina/o/x/American community. To respond to the social, academic, and emotional challenges that Filipina/o/x/American youth face, in 2001 she founded of Pin@y Educational Partnerships (PEP), an Ethnic Studies educational pipeline that creates partnerships, projects, and curriculum that work toward social justice. Every year, PEP sends hundreds of students to college, graduate school, and credential programs. Along with the four books that she produced with PEP, she has recently put together a team to develop a curriculum guide for the book, Journey for Justice: The Life of Larry Itliong. Related to her work with PEP, one of her major accomplishments was working with community organizations and educators to get Ethnic Studies instituted in high schools in the San Francisco Unified School District and also in many other districts across the nation.
FUN FACT: Dr. Tintiangco-Cubales also coined the term ‘Pinayism’ based on an earlier paper and research, which is the foundation for everything we do with Entrepinays Summit. Read the original paper here.
Berna Anat
Founder, HeyBerna
Berna Anat is your financial hype woman, which is her made-up way of saying: Berna is the creator of a financial literacy media series for young people that lives at @HeyBerna all over the Interwebz. After slaying her $50k debt, she saved up to travel for a year and has been trying to make money fun again ever since. Despite speaking at venues such as the Girlboss Rally and the OWN IT Summit, and despite being featured in Forbes, Bustle and Refinery29, she still talks herself though the bunny ear method every time she ties her shoes. (Yes, she’s full Filipina. Yes, she’s sure.)
Jennifer Navarro-Marroquin

Prosperity Coach & Co-Founder of Community Well, Jennifer has been passionate about business ownership for over 15 years. She has started businesses in the Hospitality Industry, Financial Services Industry, and Wellness Industry. She has built traditional and service based businesses from the ground up, and is happy to share what she has learned from these experiences with other Entrepinays.
Nadia De Ala
Founder, Nadia De Ala Coaching
Nadia De Ala is a Leadership & Negotiation Coach for Women of Color based in San Francisco. Previously in senior tech sales for enterprise corporations and high growth startups, she now coaches WOCs across the U.S. through 1:1, group coaching and workshops. Nadia’s mission is to close the leadership and wage gap for WOCs, one badass leader at a time.
Allison Tinati aka Hueman
Artist, HUEMAN
Hueman is an artist from Oakland who explores the human condition through painted colorful mashups of the abstract and figurative. Since starting her creative journey in 2004, she has carved a name for herself in the art world through her massive public murals, international gallery shows, and high-profile collaborations with companies such as Nike, Forever 21, NYX Cosmetics and Lyft. Her work has been profiled in Juxtapoz, Hi-Fructose, ELLE France, Nylon Magazine, the LA Times, and CNN. She just welcomed her first child in July and is now redefining for herself what it means to be female, an artist, and mother.

Founder, Sweet Condesa Pastries
Melody Anne Lorenzo – Founder & Pastry Artist of Sweet Condesa LLC, Entrepinay, Dessert Innovator, Mompreneur and a Serial Hustler whose ultimate goal is to turn this side hustle into a full time business within a year or two. Melody grew up in Olongapo City and at a young age, she was exposed to the world of entrepreneurship. Influenced by her mom’s catering business, she was inspired to pursue her own culinary endeavor by creating reimagined and handcrafted Filipino and Latin-inspired desserts.
Chel Gilla

Chel Gilla is the founder and CEO of Tselogs Corporation, an award-winning, authentic, and contemporary Filipino Restaurant in the Bay Area. Current Business Advisory Chair for the City College of San Francisco. Recipient of Leadership for Sustainability for San Mateo County and 2017 State Assembly Business of the Year for San Mateo County. Prior to creating Tselogs, Chel was a Senior Account Specialist at Merrill Lynch in which she handled approximately $300 billion in daily trade settlements. Chel is a graduate of San Francisco State University, where she received her BA in Psychology.

This workshop is for Pinays who seek to transform the world. For those called to create a more equitable culture. For those who are determined to release themselves and their communities from the spiritual, emotional, psychological and material matrix of colonialism. If you are doing anti-oppression work in your business, your job, your parenting, your relationships, yourself, then this is for you. Participants will walk away from this workshop with a framework of self-inquiry, to uncover the ways that we, even as woke people, perpetuate oppressive ideology in ourselves, our relationships and institutions. Tools and rituals will be shared for reclaiming our wild, intuitive knowing, which if practiced consistently can transform your relationship to yourself and your creative power.

Vanessa Garcia is the owner of 7 Mile House, an award-winning family and dog-friendly restaurant, sports bar and live music venue at the crossroads of San Francisco, Brisbane and Daly City. After immigrating to the US from the Philippines in 1996, she eventually became the owner of the 161 year old establishment in 2004 and introduced Filipino dishes like adobo and sisig to a mostly American and Italian menu. A pioneer of the Filipino food movement in the Bay Area, she is also the author of the award-winning book “See You at the 7 — Stories from the Bay Area’s Last Original Mile House.”

In 2014, a group of five Pilipina mamas came together to talk about the possibility of creating a summer camp where their children could learn Tagalog, learn about their culture, and be outdoors. We wanted our children to learn about their rich history and heritage! We envisioned a learning environment that would “fill the gaps” of their formal school education. We also recognized the power of learning in community and so the idea of Sama Sama Cooperative was born.
We are a collective of first, second, and third generation Pilipino-American parents, community organizers, artists, activists, professionals and educators living in the San Francisco Bay Area. Together, we are creating meaningful learning experiences rooted in what it means to be Pilipino and Pilipino-American.
Aspire Big, Begin Small: Creating Habits Moment by Moment

Shirley is a Tiny Habits® Certified Coach. In this interactive workshop, Entrepinays will learn the Tiny Habits method created by BJ Fogg, a behavior scientist at Stanford University. The method is a simple, quick, and easy approach for forming habits that do not rely on willpower. An overview of Behavior Design also will be shared. By the end of the workshop, Entrepinays will have at least three self-designed tiny habits that they can apply in any part of their lives, e.g., professional, personal, spiritual. And they will have an understanding of how to sustain their newfound superpower of habit formation. She is the Founder & Owner of Make it Mariko Events, as well as the Co-Founder & Event Producer of the Undiscovered SF Creative Night Market in SOMA Pilipinas, which launched to over 10,000 people and is on their 3rd Season. Prior to founding Make it Mariko, Gina spent 10 years doing corporate & nonprofit event planning, administration, and operations including 7 years working for Google, most recently as the Head of Marketing Events for Google X. Gina’s mission is to curate magical, meaningful moments for the community while amplifying the voices of creatives of color through Endeavors Collective and the Entrepinays Summit.
Raquel Redondiaz
director of SOMA Pilipinas- Filipino Cultural Heritage District
As the Director of SOMA Pilipinas, Raquel brings her experience as a community organizer, policy (trouble)-maker, and movement builder to the work of the cultural district. She’s a proud mama to her kids and best friends- Amihan, Diwa, and Malaya. She’s an internationalist who believes that Filipinas in the Diaspora have an important role in our people’s empowerment and liberation, and in social justice and transformation – locally and globally.
Jamie Cardenas
Founder of Magpie Alchemy
Jamie Cardenas is a pinay who was working for the corporate world, managing chronic health conditions, and raising a family when she decided to take charge of her health by creating her own personal care products after she felt Western Medicine had failed her. Word of her healing products spread and she gave birth to her own business, Magpie Alchemy, This journey has been equal parts, grit, connecting with her ancestry and gifts passed down to her, and community.It was at the 2018 Entrepinays Summit that she was inspired after she learned she was already equipped to run her own business full-time because she is a Pinay. In August of 2019, the first Magpie Alchemy Brick & Mortar was opened.

Pia Barton – A single mom to a 24 year old son, Founder & CEO of Malaya Botanicals – a CBD Wellness Company, and an avid cyclist and a triathlete. Being one of the first Filipina CEO in the Cannabis Industry, I made it my advocacy to normalize cannabis not only in the general market but in my own community.

Option A: Entrepinays Kapwa Healing Hike

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
This special healing hike gathers the diaspora of Entrepinays to provide a unique and profound opportunity to decompress, release, heal, and reground after another epic summit experience. This gathering will provide space in an outdoor setting for Entrepinays to
Reflect and decompress from all that was experienced during the summit. Safely release into nature any negative, anxious, stressful energies that exist or were taken on during the summit. Engage in both individual and collective sisterhood healing to process through triggers, wounds, or hurts associated with your career/business, family pressures, cultural beliefs, etc…
Engage in modeling the creation of a holistically stronger Entrepinay community to move forward in our influential endeavors together. Practice loving and healing communication that allows each to be fully seen and heard in their true essence
Participants can expect to have a well rounded, experiential learning and developing experience in one of San Francisco’s most loved and picturesque ocean side locations, Lands End.
The hike will consist of:
- a 3-4 hour beginners hike through various low intensity trails including a hike down to Mile Rock Beach and an option to visit the hidden labyrinth for extra support
- a guided facilitation that include a series of walking meditations, talking circles, and rituals to support energy healing
- group coaching and intuitive readings throughout
light snacks will be provided throughout - a thoughtful preparation email and pre-hike resources to support a meaningful healing experience & signing a liability waiver form is required

A certified professional coach and long time Bay Area social sector professional, Raynelle began her career in the sciences as an ecology field researcher then moved onto grassroots environmental education and social justice organizing. In 2016 Raynelle started Rino Consulting Solutions, a nature-based consulting firm that provides coaching and consulting services for professionals and other businesses. Her “Hike It Out Coaching” Programs blend her science, environmental justice, and spiritual connection to nature by providing “Healing Hikes”, where clients increase their capacity to create change with the support and guidance of the nature experience. This is a public speaking workshop that will teach you how to present with a strong presence, make a lasting impact on your audience and have fun while you’re doing it! Whether you’re a novice or a seasoned speaker, you’ll learn tips and skills to improve your craft. Ning will take the “scary” out of public speaking!

Ning Recio has been speaking in public since she was in junior high, having emceed the talent stages of Fiesta Filipina, Pistahan and a show on KTSF Channel 26. A former Dale Carnegie grad, she’s used her speaking skills in both her professional career in finance and tech, as well as charitable endeavors. Ning is now a speaking coach, business consultant, voiceover actor and singer/songwriter working on her first album.

Ms. Rabena practices general business, trademark, securities and corporate law. Her work with companies spans the entire corporate life cycle, including strategic decisions and coaching prior to incorporation, general corporate representation and counseling, venture capital financings, commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions and public offerings. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law with a concentration in International Law and her Bachelor of Arts in Rhetoric and Social Welfare from the University of California at Berkeley. Prior to practicing law, Ms. Rabena co-founded BKP-California, Inc., a non-profit that opens mini libraries throughout impoverished areas of the Philippines, and has helped collect over 50,000 books and opened 35 mini libraries throughout the Philippines.

This workshop is an explorative workshop that invites deep inquiry of relationships, partnerships and collectives that have been dismantled and ruptured by Capitalism. In a world where “business” is framed with colonized mindsets that breed competitiveness, individualism and put money of relationship- to work in partnerships and collectives can be challenging. We will explore this in relation to circles of Kapwa- in relation to our Pilipinx/Pinay/Diasporic/Indigenous People of the Philippine Arkipelago Identities and the creation work that has been created in our EntrePinay Sacred work. JL will share in vulnerability her experiences of losing relationships in shared creation work and collaborative business efforts where not only working relationships, but deep personal relationships were ruptured. Through these reflections and a sharing of learned lessons, turned into pedagogical framework for collaboration efforts, she will guide participants in mapping and recalling their own past relational ruptures in creation work and begin a process of vision and healing. She will use the living working protocols “Roots of Our Sacred Work” that were collaboratively created for the Center for Babaylan Studies to guide participants formulate their own protocols in collaboration work, to help them build lasting partnerships that are equitable, ethical, humanizing and holistically expansive for all who come to the table to manifest and create together.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
The spaces where we get to be surrounded by so many likeminded Pinays is rare, so this workshop will take as much of that sacred energy and channel it into poetic processing. We will be writing and excavating, getting deeply vulnerable about the things that are rooted at our identities as Pinays. What are the roots that keep us grounded? Who waters us? Who takes the fruit that we bear? How is our generosity and strength as brown women hurting us vs. helping us? We cannot know our people without first knowing ourselves. We cannot love our people without first loving ourselves. Through poetry and open discussion, we will write and manifest a tangible promise of love to ourselves, in order for us to continue to love our community.
